This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning peak of Ezkaurre Erdikoa. The 13.745-kilometer trail boasts an elevation gain of 1332 meters and is estimated to take around 6 and a half hours to complete.
Starting at the trailhead, you will first pass by the parking area before embarking on your journey. Along the way, you'll encounter various points of interest. About 5.14 kilometers from the start, you'll find the picturesque Ibón de Ezkaurre, a beautiful mountain lake perfect for a scenic break.
For those looking to stay overnight, there are accommodation options such as the Camping de Zuriza and Refugio de Zuriza located just 0.01 kilometers from the trail. Further along, at approximately 0.62 kilometers from the start, you'll come across the Refugio forestal de Zuriza, a wilderness hut offering a unique stay experience.
As you continue towards Ezkaurre Erdikoa, you'll pass by intriguing archaeological sites like Dolmen Ibon de Ezkaurre and Dolmen Solano de Ezkaurre. These historic landmarks provide a cultural insight into the area's past.
