This hiking route takes you through the stunning area surrounding Sonnenspitze. With a total distance of 17.245 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1633 meters, this hike is classified as extremely difficult, making it suitable for experienced hikers.
Starting at the parking area located at the trailhead, you will begin your journey towards the peak of Sonnenspitze. Along the way, you will pass by various points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Golf-Restaurant, where you can fuel up before the challenging ascent.
As you continue onwards, you will come across the Holzbrunnen spring, providing a refreshing spot to rest and refill your water supply. Further along the trail, you will encounter the iconic Sonnenspitze peak, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Throughout the hike, you will also find several benches and information points, perfect for taking a break and learning more about the area. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and layers of clothing, as the weather can change quickly in the mountains.
