This hiking route will take you on a challenging adventure through the beautiful landscape around Sonnenspitze. With a total distance of 17.245 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1633 meters, this trail is classified as extremely difficult, so be prepared for a strenuous workout.
You will start your journey at the parking area located right at the beginning of the trail. As you make your way through the route, keep an eye out for the various points of interest along the path. At around 1.78 kilometers from the start, you will come across the Rinner Alm, a charming alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some local delicacies.
Further along the trail, at 8.47 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Sonnenspitze, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area. Be sure to capture some memorable photos at this stunning vantage point.
As you continue your trek, at 1.47 kilometers from the start, you will find the Holzbrunnen spring where you can refill your water bottles and freshen up before moving on.
