This hiking route will take you through a beautiful area with breathtaking scenery and challenging terrain. The trail is an out-and-back route, starting at Lagunillos de la Virgen.
As you begin your journey, you will pass by various points of interest along the way. At the start of the trail, you will find parking facilities to leave your vehicle conveniently. Make sure to bring enough water and snacks for the hike, as the total distance is approximately 10.7 kilometers with an elevation gain of 428 meters, making it a difficult hike.
About 3.4 kilometers from the start, you will come across an artwork called "Tiburón" (Shark), adding a unique touch to the trail. Further along, at about 5.2 kilometers from the start, you will encounter "Lagunillos de la Virgen,” a scenic spot perfect for a rest and to enjoy the views.
Additionally, at various points on the trail, there are opportunities to refill your water supply at natural springs and enjoy a meal or snack at pubs such as "Kiosko-Bar Hoya de la Mora" or cafes like "Skibob." These stops are located at different distances from the beginning of the trail, providing options for sustenance along your hike.
As you make your way back, you will pass by the “Monumento a la Virgen de las Nieves,” an artwork dedicated to the Virgin of the Snow. Be sure to take in the surroundings and appreciate the natural beauty of the region.
