This hiking route at Alpe Bellagarda is an extremely difficult 14.336-kilometer out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 1192 meters. The route will take approximately 6 hours and 17 minutes to complete, so be prepared for a challenging and long hike.
Starting at Alpe Bellagarda, hikers will first pass by "Il Pirata," a bar located right at the beginning of the trail where you can grab a drink or snack before heading out. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across a wayside shrine at 0.0 kilometers from the start, which is a great spot to take a moment to rest and appreciate the surroundings.
Around 5.38 kilometers into the hike, you will find a natural water source, so be sure to refill your water bottles here. Continuing on, at 6.22 kilometers, you will reach "Colle della Crocetta," followed by "Colle della Terra Fertà" at 6.6 kilometers, both natural saddles offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
Further along the trail at 7.17 kilometers, you will reach a peak known as "Cima della Crocetta," providing a panoramic view of the area. Additionally, there are information points scattered along the trail, offering insights into the local environment and history.
For those in need of a break, there is a campsite named "C.A.C" at 0.01 kilometers from the start and a restaurant called "La tana dell'orco" at 0.0 kilometers from the start where you can refuel before heading back.
