This extremely difficult 15.658-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the stunning Latschberg area. The trail starts at the parking area and winds its way through challenging terrain with a total elevation gain of 1286 meters.
Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. At 4.44 kilometers from the start, you'll come across the Bergalm, a cozy pub where you can refuel and rest. Further along the trail at 4.31 kilometers, you'll find the Bayreuther Hütte, an alpine hut offering accommodation with contact information provided. A bench at 2.19 kilometers offers a place to take a break and enjoy the scenery.
As you continue your journey, you'll pass by a spring at 5.8 kilometers, perfect for replenishing your water supply. Information about the area can be found at the 6.82-kilometer mark, and drinking water is available at 6.91 kilometers. One of the highlights of the hike is reaching the Latschberg peak at 7.32 kilometers, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
