This extremely difficult 13.587-kilometer circular hiking route in La Junciana will take you on an adventurous journey through breathtaking natural landscapes. The trail starts at Jitu de Escarandi parking area and leads you through rugged terrain with a total elevation gain of 1067 meters.
As you begin your hike, you will pass by Refugio Casetón de Ándara, an alpine hut located approximately 3.14 kilometers from the starting point. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Further along the trail, around 6.29 kilometers into the hike, you will come across La Rasa de la Inagotable peak, offering panoramic views of the area. As you continue on, you will encounter Torca de la Nevera and Torca de la Mazarrasa cave entrances, adding a touch of mystery to your adventure.
Be sure to stop by Collado del Mojón saddle, approximately 6.05 kilometers from the start, for a picturesque rest spot before continuing your journey. Along the way, informational points provide insight into the local flora, fauna, and geology of the area.
Midway through the hike, around 6.4 kilometers in, you'll reach Collado la Rasa and later, at 6.54 kilometers, you'll arrive at another peak, offering more opportunities to admire the stunning natural beauty of La Junciana.
Throughout the hike, you'll also pass by Collado de la Aldea and peaks like El Castillo de Grajal and Collada de Trasmacondíu, each offering a unique perspective of the landscape.
