This hike will take you through the stunning area surrounding Peña Vieja. With a total distance of 9.941 kilometers and an elevation gain of 933 meters, this route is considered difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers.
At the beginning of the trail, you will find parking areas for your convenience. As you start your hike, you will come across a cafe and a restaurant, perfect for grabbing a quick snack or meal before continuing on your journey.
Approximately 1.07 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Fuente Resalau, a refreshing spring where you can refill your water bottles. Continuing onward, at 1.48 kilometers, you'll spot another peak called Cueto de Juan de la Cuadra, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
Around the halfway point, at 4.19 kilometers, you will encounter a saddle, providing a great resting spot to take in the scenery. As you approach the end of the hike, at 4.58 kilometers, you'll reach the highlight of the trail, Peña Vieja, a majestic peak worth the challenging climb.
