As you progress along the trail, you will reach a wilderness hut named Refugio Montarruego (ó Barbietos) approximately 1.53 kilometers from the start, where you can take a break and enjoy the rustic accommodation.

Continuing on, at around 7.22 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Espluca Ruego, a saddle offering panoramic views of the landscape. This is a great spot to rest and take in the breathtaking scenery before pushing on towards your destination. Just a bit further ahead, at 7.45 kilometers, you will find the peak of Pico de Espluca Ruego, which marks the turnaround point of this out-and-back route.

On the return journey, you can stop by Fuente de Petramula, a spring located 0.43 kilometers from the start, to refill your water supply. Additionally, there is a cave entrance (Cave Entrance) and another spring (Spring) at the 0.65 kilometer mark, providing interesting diversions along the way.
