This hike takes you through a challenging but rewarding route in the beautiful natural surroundings of Refugio de Fuen Blanca. With a distance of 18.735 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1898 meters, this trail is classified as extremely difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers.
Starting at the parking area near the trailhead, you will begin your journey towards Collado de Anisclo, a saddle located 5.9 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take in the panoramic views of the surrounding area. Along the way, you will also pass by Punta del Valle, a peak located 6.21 kilometers from the start, although it is slightly off the main trail.
As you continue on, you will come across Refugio de Fuen Blanca, an alpine hut situated 9.37 kilometers from the start. This is a good resting point to refill your water and have a snack before heading back. You will also encounter a spring at the 4.69-kilometer mark, providing a refreshing break along the route.
