Welcome to the Mirador del Peñon Encantado hiking route! This circular trail spans approximately 9.7 kilometers with an elevation gain of 539 meters, making it a challenging but rewarding trek. The route will take you through a picturesque area with stunning viewpoints and natural springs along the way.
At the beginning of the trail, you'll find a convenient parking area. As you make your way, be sure to stop by the Fuente Alta and Fuente Baja springs, located at 0.09 kilometers from the start, to replenish your water supply. Further along the trail, you'll encounter the Fuente de los Burros spring at 0.16 kilometers and Fuente Santa at 0.26 kilometers from the start.
Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape at Mirador Los Poyetes (0.06 kilometers from the start), Mirador de la Española (0.16 kilometers), and Mirador de La Huerta (0.41 kilometers). These viewpoints offer a perfect opportunity to take in the beauty of the area and capture some memorable photos.
For a quick break, visit Bar Arcoiris located 4.85 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to refuel and rest before continuing your journey. Don't forget to check out the Cruz de la Llanada wayside cross at 4.8 kilometers and the Fuente del Estanco spring at 4.79 kilometers from the start.
As you approach the endpoint, you'll reach the Mirador del Peñon Encantado, offering a breathtaking finale to your hike. Remember to bring plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging yet fulfilling adventure.
