This extremely difficult 18.635-kilometer circular hike in the Mélina area will take approximately 7 hours and 10 minutes to complete.
Starting at the parking area with information available at Chemin d'Aurent, hikers will embark on a challenging journey that includes an elevation gain of 1147 meters. It is essential to bring an adequate supply of water and food, as well as to check the weather forecast before setting off.
Along the trail, at the beginning of the hike, hikers will come across the historic wayside cross known as Tête de Travers. Further along, midway through the route, there is a beautiful alpine hut called Cabane de Sausses where weary hikers can take a break and enjoy the scenery.
