This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Praprotnikova koča. The trail is a circular route, starting at an elevation of 848 meters and reaching a peak at 1411 meters. With a total distance of 7.75 kilometers and an elevation gain of 958 meters, this hike is of moderate difficulty and suitable for hikers with some experience.

As you begin your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. After about 3 kilometers, you will reach Bašeljsko sedlo, a picturesque saddle offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Continuing on, you will pass by Dom na Kališču, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments.

Along the route, you will also encounter Gradišče nad Bašljem, an archaeological site with historical significance. Be sure to stop by Bašeljsko brezno, a cave entrance, and take in the unique geological formations.

For your convenience, there are information points scattered throughout the trail to provide you with insights about the area. Additionally, there are benches where you can rest and take in the scenic views.
