Welcome to the hiking route to Monte Cervet! This challenging 11.75-kilometer out-and-back trail will take you on an adventure through stunning natural landscapes and historic landmarks.
Starting at the Parcheggio per Rocca Croce Provenzale parking area, you will embark on a journey that includes an elevation gain of 1283 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that rewards you with breathtaking views along the way.
As you begin your ascent, you will encounter the Croce di vetta Monte Cervet, a historic wayside cross located just 20 meters from the trail. This is a great spot to take in the surrounding scenery and catch your breath before continuing on.
Moving forward, you will pass by Colle Greguri, where ruins stand as a reminder of the area's rich history. Further along the trail, you will reach Monte Castello and Monte Cervet peaks, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
At around halfway through the hike, you will come across La Colletta saddle, a natural formation perfect for a quick rest and a snack. As you make your way back, be sure to stop by Colle Rui saddle, where a wayside cross adds a touch of historical charm to the trail.
