The hiking route to Cima dei Tre Confini is a challenging and extremely difficult 12.5-kilometer out-and-back trail that boasts a total elevation gain of 869 meters. The trail offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area and takes approximately 5 hours to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. Make sure to bring plenty of water with you as there are limited drinking water spots along the way. Approximately 1.26 kilometers into the hike, you will find a drinking water point at Tricaglio where you can refill your water bottles.
About 2.27 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Rifugio Fonte Astuni, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some rest. Continuing on, at the 4.74-kilometer mark, you will find Rifugio Collo dell'Orso and Rifugio Coppo Dell'Orso, two more alpine huts where you can rest and refuel before continuing on your journey.
Midway through the hike, approximately 6.26 kilometers in, you will reach the peak of Cima dei Tre Confini, offering stunning panoramic views of the area. It is a great spot to take in the beauty of the surroundings and capture some memorable photos.
