Welcome to the Hooker Valley Track! This 10.3 km long hike is a popular out-and-back route located in a scenic area surrounded by breathtaking mountains and alpine tarns.
As you start your journey, you will come across the White Horse Hill Campground, a limited wheelchair accessible campsite located right at the beginning of the trail. Be sure to check out the nearby Alpine Tarn and Stocking Stream Shelter ruins, which are perfect spots for a quick rest and some beautiful views.
Further along the trail, you will pass by multiple parking areas, picnic sites, and viewpoints such as Mueller Lake Lookout and Freda's Rock. These are great places to take in the stunning scenery and snap some photos.
As you continue on, you will come across the Alpine Memorial and various information points along the way. Keep an eye out for the Old suspension bridge anchor and benches where you can take a moment to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Towards the end of the trail, you will reach the Hooker Valley Track, a must-see attraction with its picturesque views and tranquil setting. The track offers a glimpse into the area's historic past with ruins and memorials scattered throughout.
