This hiking route takes you on a journey to Laguna Iguaque, a stunning natural area known for its beauty and tranquility. As you start your adventure, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area called "Parqueadero" for your convenience. Near the start, there is also an information office called "Oficina Parques Nacionales" where you can gather more insights about the area.
Approximately 2.96 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter an informative signpost labeled "Aviso" providing you with more details about the surroundings. As you continue further, at around 4.04 kilometers from the start, you will reach "Iguaque estación 9," another informative point offering valuable information about the trail.
One of the highlights of the route is "Laguna Sagrada de Iguaque" also known as "Cuña de la Humanidad," located approximately 4.35 kilometers from the starting point. This sacred lagoon holds cultural significance and presents a picturesque spot for a break and some stunning views.
Additionally, there is a viewpoint at 4.42 kilometers from the start where you can pause to admire the breathtaking scenery around you. Benches are also strategically placed along the trail at 2.46 kilometers in for you to rest and take in the natural beauty.
