This extremely difficult 16.493-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the stunning landscapes near Punta Fortino. The trail starts at a parking lot where you can leave your vehicle, so be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks for the long journey ahead.
As you begin your hike, you'll pass by Rifugio Città di Ciriè, a cozy alpine hut just 0.1 kilometers from the starting point. About 0.55 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach Rocca Venoni, a natural rock formation worth exploring. Continuing on, you'll encounter La Montanara, a historic memorial located 0.07 kilometers from the trail.
Around the midway point of the hike, at approximately 4.68 kilometers from the start, you'll find an information point where you can learn more about the area's history and landmarks. Further along the trail, at 6.7 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Collarin d'Arnas, a picturesque saddle offering stunning views of the surrounding terrain.
As you trek on, you'll pass by Lago del Collarin and Laghetto d'Arnas (superiore), two beautiful water bodies that are perfect for a rest stop. Additionally, make sure to check out the wayside shrines and peaks along the trail, such as Punta Fortino and Celso Miglietti.
Throughout the hike, you'll encounter various springs and drinking water sources, so you can refill your water bottle and stay hydrated.
