This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Mirador de Covalanas. The trail is 2.698 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 145 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels. The estimated duration for this hike is around 1 hour.
Starting from the trailhead, you will pass by various points of interest along the way. About 1.01 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the Vía ferrata El Cáliz, a popular rock climbing route with a website for more information at http://ferrataelcaliz.es/.
Further along the trail, at approximately 0.45 kilometers from the start, you will find two shelters for a quick rest or snack break, but they are slightly off the main trail. Additionally, there are several parking areas nearby for those arriving by car.
As you continue on, at 0.91 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the entrance to Cueva El Haza, a cave worth exploring if you have the time and inclination. About 1.25 kilometers into the hike, you will have the option to visit both Cueva de Covalanas and Cueva del Mirón, two fascinating cave entrances nearby.
Towards the end of the trail, at 1.35 kilometers from the start, you will reach Mirador de Covalanas, a scenic viewpoint offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, with a nearby picnic site for a well-deserved rest.
