This hiking route takes you through the beautiful natural surroundings of Peña Ranero. The trail is 2.261 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 210 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels. The estimated duration of the hike is 1 hour and 2 minutes.
Starting at the trailhead, you will come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find Pozalagua parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before starting the hike. Further along, you will pass by Armañon parketxea, an attraction that offers information about the surrounding area.
As you continue on the trail, you will come across Pozalagua restaurant, a great spot to refuel and grab a bite to eat. About 0.09 kilometers from the start, you will reach the entrance to Pozalagua-ko kobak (Cueva de Pozalagua), a fee-based cave that offers a unique underground experience.
At around 1.13 kilometers from the start, you will find Torca del Carlista, a cave entrance, and La Espina, a peak offering stunning views of the area. Just a bit further, at 1.13 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Peña Ranero, another peak with panoramic views of the surroundings.
Throughout the hike, you will also pass by various viewpoints that offer a chance to appreciate the natural beauty of Parque Natural de Armañon.
