This hiking route takes you to the stunning Ibón de Cregüeña area, known for its picturesque views and clear waters. The trail is an out-and-back type, totaling approximately 10.6 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1192 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take around 5 hours and 25 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you'll pass by the Refugio de Coronas wilderness hut, a perfect resting spot for hikers. The trailhead also has a convenient parking area at the beginning of the route.
Midway through the hike, you'll come across the Collado de Cregüeña saddle, offering a great vantage point to admire the surrounding landscapes. Further along the trail, you'll encounter the Agulla de Juncadella peak, though it is slightly off the main path.
One of the highlights of the hike is the Ibón de Cregüeña lake, located just 5.29 kilometers from the starting point. This serene lake is perfect for a rest and a photo opportunity. Along the way, you'll also find a spring for refreshing breaks.
It's important to note that while some points of interest are directly on the trail, others may require a short detour. Therefore, hikers should be prepared with proper navigational tools.
