This hiking route will take you through the stunning Pyrenees mountain range in France. The trail is 14.583 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 1291 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers.
As you embark on this journey, you will encounter several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will come across the Chalet l'Avalanche, a cozy cafe where you can grab a bite to eat before starting your hike. Further along, you will pass by the beautiful Lac d'Enfer, a picturesque lake that is perfect for a tranquil break.
Midway through the hike, you will reach the Refuge du Maupas, an alpine hut where you can rest and refuel before continuing on your journey. This refuge offers accommodations and can be a great place to spend the night if you're planning a multi-day trek. Nearby, you'll also find the Cabane de La Houradade, another shelter for hikers.
As you make your way back towards the starting point, don't miss the Cascade de Calahoure and Cascade de la Coume, two stunning waterfalls that provide a refreshing sight and sound along the trail.
