This challenging hiking route takes you through the stunning natural beauty of La Cara y las Cuatro Damas in the PR-M 1 area. With a total distance of 8.754 kilometers and an elevation gain of 682 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart.
Starting at the trailhead, you'll pass by the "Parking de Casa Julián" at the beginning of the hike. As you make your way along the trail, you'll encounter the peak known as Peña del Yelmo, which is almost 3 kilometers from the starting point.
Along the way, you'll find Hotel El Tranco and El Jardón de las Delicias for some sustenance and rest. Make sure to stay hydrated and bring enough water for the journey. There are also various peaks like El Acebo, El Reloj, and Las Tres Gracias to admire along the trail.
At around 4 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across Collado de la Encina, providing a scenic spot to take a break and enjoy the surroundings. Further ahead, you'll find Fuente de la Gran Cañada and Fuente del Risco de la Fuente for refreshing water sources.
As you continue on the trail, you'll encounter several more peaks, rocks, and springs to marvel at. The return journey will take you back along the same path, providing a different perspective of the landscape.
