This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Sendero del Puente de los Pollos. The trail is 8.831 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 710 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take around 3 hours and 49 minutes to complete.
You will start your journey at Cantocochino parking lot, where you can leave your car before embarking on this adventure. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across various points of interest. Close to the beginning, you will find Casa Torrero and Mesón del Montañero, two restaurants where you can stop for a meal or a snack.
As you continue on, you will reach Collado de la Romera, a picturesque saddle that offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Further along the trail, you will encounter peaks such as El Pajarito, La Campana, and Carro del Diablo, each offering a different perspective of the area.
Make sure to visit the Punto de Información de Canto Cochino for more insights into the local flora and fauna. Additionally, be on the lookout for shelters like the one at Peña Horcajo, where you can take a break and enjoy the serene surroundings.
Towards the end of the trail, you will reach Puente de los Pollos, a rock formation that serves as a perfect spot for a picnic before heading back.
