Welcome to the hiking route PR-M 2 in the beautiful area of Cantocochino. This moderate 6.026-kilometer out-and-back trail offers a total elevation gain of 346 meters and will take approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete.
As you begin your journey, you will come across convenient parking areas at Cantocochino, making it easy to start your hike. These parking spots are located right at the trailhead, ensuring a smooth start to your adventure.
About 0.22 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Punto de Información de Canto Cochino, where you can gather some useful information about the area before continuing on your path. Further along the trail, at the 0.43-kilometer mark, you will encounter an information point offering additional insights into the surroundings.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 1.98 kilometers from the start, you will reach Collado del Cabrón, a picturesque saddle in the natural landscape. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the stunning views of the area.
Continuing onwards, you will pass by several peaks such as El Elefante, Peña Horcajo, Cancho de los Muertos, and El Dante, each offering unique vantage points and opportunities to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the terrain.
As you approach the end of the trail, you will find picnic sites at Canto Cochino, perfect for relaxing and refueling after your rewarding hike.
