This hiking route takes you through the stunning natural beauty of Abrigo de los Aljibes and Cordel de la Pedriza. With a total distance of 10.636 kilometers and an elevation gain of 144 meters, this hike is classified as difficult, so be prepared for a challenge.
As you start your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the trail. These include parking spaces near the trail, some of which are right at the beginning to make accessing the trail easier. Additionally, there are several water sources scattered throughout the route, perfect for refilling your bottles and staying hydrated.
About 2.66 kilometers into the hike, you will find a cluster of water sources off the trail, providing a refreshing stop for hikers. Around the 1.23-kilometer mark, Rincón del Alba restaurant offers a great spot to take a break and grab a bite to eat.
Further along the trail, at approximately 1.27 kilometers, you will encounter El Gato artwork, adding a cultural touch to the natural surroundings. As you continue on, the peaks of Peña el Gato and other natural formations will capture your attention, with some peaks being closer to the beginning of the trail while others are farther away.
Midway through the hike, at around the 4.98-kilometer mark, you will find the entrance to Abrigo de los Aljibes, a noteworthy cave deserving of exploration.
