Welcome to the hiking route to Calle al volcan in Santa Tecla. This challenging out-and-back trail covers a distance of approximately 9.75 kilometers with an elevation gain of 387 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take around 3 hours and 13 minutes to complete.

At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Urbanización Hacienda San José parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before starting your adventure. As you make your way along the path, you will pass by the Cafeteria y Pupuseria Doris, a cozy café perfect for grabbing a quick snack or drink.

About midway through the hike, you'll reach the Picnic Steak House, where you can enjoy a hearty meal before continuing your journey. As you approach the 4.87-kilometer mark, be sure to stop by the viewpoint for breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding scenery.

On the way back, you'll have the opportunity to visit Plaza Volcan, La Herradura el volcan, La Pizzeria, Charlie boy Pizza & Grill, and Ben's Coffee for some delicious dining options to refuel after a long day of hiking.
