Welcome to the hiking route to Calle al Volcan in Santa Tecla! This challenging out-and-back trail spans approximately 9.7 kilometers with an elevation gain of 387 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike for outdoor enthusiasts.

As you start your journey, you'll come across the Urbanización Hacienda San José parking area, which is conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. Further along the path, about 4 kilometers in, you'll find Picnic Steak House for a quick bite to eat.

As you continue your trek, be sure to take a moment to stop at Plaza Volcan and La Herradura el volcan along the way, where you can refuel with some delicious food and enjoy the scenic views. Additionally, don't miss out on the viewpoint at 4.87 kilometers, offering breathtaking sights of the surrounding area.

Towards the end of the trail, at approximately 4.81 kilometers, you'll encounter La Pizzeria and Ben's Coffee for a well-deserved rest and refreshment before heading back. Finally, make your way back to the starting point, taking in the beautiful natural surroundings and enjoying the sense of accomplishment from completing this challenging hike.
