Welcome to Cerro El Picacho hiking route! This extremely difficult 19.196-kilometer out-and-back trail offers breathtaking views and a challenging adventure for experienced hikers.

Starting at El Boqueron Parking, you will begin your journey along the trail. As you make your way, make sure to stop by the viewpoint at 0.02 kilometers from the start to take in the stunning vistas. Further along the trail, you will come across Crepe Lovers Plaza Volcan, a cafe located at 0.04 kilometers from the start, where you can fuel up before continuing your trek.

The highlight of the hike is reaching Cerro El Picacho, a peak located 9.6 kilometers from the start. The summit offers panoramic views of the surrounding area, making the challenging climb worth it.

Along the way, you will also encounter several other viewpoints such as Mirador The Giant, Mirador 1, and Mirador 3, each offering unique perspectives of the landscape.

With an elevation gain of 1030 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear. Additionally, check the weather forecast before setting out to ensure a safe and enjoyable adventure.
