This hiking route takes you to Cerro El Picacho, an extremely difficult trail stretching over 19.196 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1030 meters. The journey is expected to last about 7 hours and 1 minute, so make sure you are well-prepared physically.
The trail begins at El Boqueron Parking, where you can park your vehicle before starting the hike. As you trek along, you will encounter several points of interest. Just 0.02 kilometers from the start, you'll find a viewpoint called Mirador The Giant, offering a stunning panorama of the surroundings. Further along, at 0.04 kilometers from the start, there's Crepe Lovers Plaza Volcan where you can stop for a break and grab a snack.
As you approach the midway point of the trail, at 9.6 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak known as Cerro El Picacho. This is the main highlight of the hike and offers breathtaking views from the top.
Throughout the hike, there are other viewpoints such as Mirador 1 and Mirador 3 which provide additional scenic spots to rest and take in the beauty of the area.
