Welcome to the Orla Perć hiking route in the beautiful Tatra Mountains. This 16.4-kilometer long trail is known for its stunning views but is also considered extremely difficult due to its 997 meters of elevation gain.
As you embark on this challenging journey, you will encounter several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find parking facilities to leave your vehicle before starting your hike. Further along, you will come across Wrzące Źródło, a natural spring where you can refill your water bottles.
As you continue your ascent, you will pass by the historic Stare Schronisko PTTK Morskie Oko alpine hut, offering a glimpse into the region's past. The trail will lead you to Małe Morskie Oko and Żabie Oko, two picturesque alpine lakes that are perfect for a rest stop and some breathtaking views.
Midway through your hike, you will reach Przedni Staw Polski and Mały Staw Polski, two more beautiful lakes nestled in the Tatra Mountains. Make sure to take a moment to appreciate the serenity of these natural wonders.
Towards the end of your journey, you will encounter Kołowa Czuba, a peak that offers panoramic views of the surrounding area. And finally, at the turnaround point of the trail, you will find Orla Perć, your destination.
Before embarking on this challenging hike, make sure to pack plenty of water, snacks, and appropriate hiking gear. Check the weather forecast beforehand and always let someone know your hiking plans. Be prepared for steep inclines, rugged terrain, and be sure to take breaks when needed.
