The Bonner Höhenweg is a challenging out-and-back hiking route, spanning a distance of 9.275 kilometers with an elevation gain of 385 meters. The estimated duration for this hike is around 3 hours and 6 minutes, making it a moderately paced trek.

The trail starts at a convenient parking area located at the beginning of the route. As you begin your journey, you will come across the Thurntaler Rast restaurant, providing a good opportunity to grab a bite or a refreshing drink right at the start of the hike.

Further along the trail, at approximately 1.13 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a bar where you can take a break and relax before continuing your adventure. As you continue on, at 1.11 kilometers from the start, you will find the Gadein restaurant, another great spot to rest and recharge.

Throughout the hike, you will also come across several water sources, including Kleiner See at 4.6 kilometers, and various others at different points along the trail, offering you the chance to refill your water bottle and cool off.
