This challenging hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning natural scenery. The trail covers a distance of 8.525 kilometers with an elevation gain of 778 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek.
Starting at the parking area at the beginning of the trail, you will find yourself immersed in nature as you make your way along the path. About 1.98 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the historic Astenrast wayside cross, offering a glimpse into the area's past.
As you continue your journey, at around 4.07 kilometers in, you will reach the peak of Glinzzipf, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Don't forget to stay hydrated - there is a drinking water station located approximately 1.96 kilometers from the start of the trail.
Further along the route, you will encounter the Tessenberger See, a picturesque lake located about 4.21 kilometers from the beginning. This is a perfect spot to rest and take in the tranquil atmosphere before continuing your adventure.
Throughout the hike, you will also come across various benches where you can take a break and soak in the peaceful surroundings. Additionally, there are informative signboards along the way to enhance your hiking experience.
