This challenging hiking route takes you along the Strada ex Militare towards Gardetta, offering stunning views and historical points of interest along the way.

Starting at the parking area, hikers will begin their journey with a gradual incline before reaching Colle del Vallonetto, a saddle located just 0.85 kilometers from the start. From there, you will continue towards other saddles, including Col Bandia at 4.95 kilometers from the start, and Colle Fauniera at 1.3 kilometers, where you can find informational points of interest.

As you make your way along the trail, you'll encounter various historic ruins such as the Opera Vallo Alpino at the 5.04 kilometer mark, and the Rifugio Fauniera and Bivacco Fauniera accommodations located at the beginning of the trail.

For those interested in nature, there are several natural features to enjoy, including Colle Valcavera, a natural saddle located at 3.25 kilometers from the start, and Fontana Negra, a spring with drinking water at the 0.01 kilometer mark.
