This challenging hiking route will take you to the stunning Cima Viribianc, located in the beautiful area of Valle Grana. The trail starts at the parking area, where you can find some information about the valley and the Fortifications Trail.
As you make your way along the trail, you'll come across the Fontana Negra spring, a refreshing spot to take a rest, only 0.01 kilometers from the start. Further along, at 0.07 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Località Font Niera, where you can find more information about the area.
Continuing on, you'll encounter Rifugio Fauniera, an alpine hut located right on the trail at the beginning of your journey. Just a bit further, at 0.12 kilometers from the start, you'll find Bivacco Fauniera, a wilderness hut where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
As you approach the midway point of the hike, you'll reach Colle dal Nais, a location with informative signage about the area, 1.81 kilometers from the start. The trail also passes by Punta Parvo, a peak located 2.38 kilometers from the start, and Monte Viridio, another peak 3.46 kilometers from the start.
The highlight of the hike is reaching Cima Viribianc, a peak situated 4.9 kilometers from the start. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
Before embarking on this trek, make sure to bring plenty of water, as the hike spans nearly 10 kilometers with an elevation gain of 355 meters. Additionally, check the weather forecast beforehand and wear appropriate hiking gear. This out-and-back route is estimated to take around 3 hours and 9 minutes to complete.
