Closer to the halfway point, at 2.79 kilometers, you'll find Col de Cussiers with more informational materials. Then, at 3.46 kilometers, you'll encounter Monte Viridio itself, a peak worth the climb.

For those interested, there are alpine huts and wilderness huts near the trail for overnight stays. Rifugio Fauniera and Bivacco Fauniera offer accommodations close to the route, providing a cozy resting place in the midst of nature.
