This hiking route takes you through the stunning Vía Romana de la Carisa in Aller, a region known for its rich history and natural beauty. The trail spans 16.393 kilometers with an elevation gain of 918 meters, making it an extremely difficult but rewarding hike.
As you begin your journey, you'll come across the Palacio de los Arias-Prieto, a historic building located 1.36 kilometers from the starting point. Further along the trail, at 2.07 kilometers, you'll find a drinking water station to refill your supplies.
Around the 6.92 kilometer mark, off the trail you'll find the Dolmen de El Padrún 1, an important archaeological site. Continuing on, at 7.52 kilometers, you'll pass by La Fuente Carabanés, a natural spring where you can take a refreshing break.
As you trek onwards, at 7.95 kilometers off the trail, you'll see the peak known as Dolmen de El Padrún 2 and Dolmen de El Padrún 3 archaeological sites at 8.2 kilometers. Finally, at 8.2 kilometers, you'll reach a water source to replenish your bottles.
Remember to come prepared with plenty of water and snacks, as this challenging hike will take approximately 6 hours and 5 minutes to complete.
