This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Pico de Pedro García. The trail spans a distance of 13.735 kilometers with an elevation gain of 938 meters, making it a challenging adventure for experienced hikers.
Starting at the trailhead, you'll come across the Fuente de la Veiga, a drinking water source, just 0.04 kilometers into the hike. This is a great spot to refill your water bottles before continuing on the journey. Further along the trail at 0.73 kilometers, you'll encounter historic ruins, adding a touch of intrigue to your hike.
As you progress, at the 6.87-kilometer mark, you'll reach the majestic Pico de Pedro García, a peak offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Take a moment to rest and soak in the beauty of the natural surroundings before heading back.
On your return journey, around 0.36 kilometers from the start, you'll find another drinking water source at Fuente la Teyera for a much-needed refreshment break. Additionally, at 0.04 kilometers from the start, there is a bench where you can take a quick rest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
