This hiking route takes you through the beautiful Camino Forestal area, offering stunning views and a challenging trek. The total distance of the route is approximately 22.3 kilometers with an elevation gain of 811 meters, making it extremely difficult and suitable for experienced hikers.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the hike, you will come across a series of natural water sources, providing a refreshing pit stop. As you continue, you will encounter the Iglesia de Santa María, a historic church dating back to ancient times, located 3.27 kilometers from the start of the trail.
Further along the route, at a distance of 9.12 kilometers from the start, you will find the Fuente de la Cofradía, a natural spring perfect for refilling your water supply. Additionally, there are several other water points scattered throughout the hike, offering ample opportunities to stay hydrated.
For a scenic break, make sure to visit the Las Pozas de San Martín viewpoint, located 3.27 kilometers from the start, providing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, don't miss the Cascada del Confesionario waterfall, situated 2.11 kilometers from the start, offering a serene and picturesque setting to rest and admire the natural beauty.
