This extremely difficult 12.22-kilometer out-and-back hiking route, known as Subida al cementerio, offers a challenging and rewarding experience for outdoor enthusiasts. The trail starts at a parking area and winds through a picturesque area with stunning viewpoints along the way. It is important to note that this trail has an elevation gain of 108 meters, so be prepared for a strenuous workout.
As you begin your hike, you'll come across the Fuente de Ambas Aguas, a historic monument and drinking water source located just 0.04 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail at the 5.56-kilometer mark, you'll reach the Crucero monument. This is a great spot to take a break and admire the historic significance of the area.
Midway through your journey, at around 6.11 kilometers, you'll find a natural water source where you can refill your water bottles and stay hydrated. As you continue on, make sure to stop at the Asociación Recreativa Cultural "San Baudilio" bar at 5.83 kilometers for a quick snack or drink.
Towards the end of the trail, you'll encounter the Cuesta de Sotillos saddle at 4.78 kilometers, offering a serene natural landscape to take in. At 5.46 kilometers, you'll pass by another saddle before reaching the La Fuente de Muro de Aguas drinking water source at 5.83 kilometers.
Throughout the hike, you'll also come across several benches for resting and enjoying the surroundings.
