This extremely difficult hiking route will take you through a stunning natural area, starting at the parking area. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks for this 16.445-kilometer journey with 844 meters of elevation gain.
As you begin your hike, you will come across the Mirador de Monte Vico viewpoint at around 2.21 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Continuing on, at approximately 8.22 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Peña Isasa, offering breathtaking views from the summit. This will be a rewarding point in your journey, but remember that the most challenging part of the hike is still ahead.
Further along the trail, at 2.34 kilometers from the start, you will pass by the Ermita de San Marcos, where you can learn about the history of the area and take a moment to rest.
As you make your way back, around 4.54 kilometers from the start, you will find the Cascón drinking water point, which will be a refreshing stop to refill your water bottle.
Throughout the hike, keep an eye out for Cabezuela peak at 7.81 kilometers from the start and El Hontanar at 2.61 kilometers from the start for more stunning viewpoints along the way.
