This extremely difficult 13.756-kilometer circular hiking route will take you on a challenging journey towards the Subida hacia el Castillo. The trail starts at the parking area near the trailhead and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding natural landscape.
As you begin your hike, you will pass by the Fuente de Ambas Aguas at the very start of the trail, which is a great spot to refill your water bottles. Further along the trail, you will encounter the Cuesta de Sotillos, a natural saddle offering a unique vantage point of the area.
Midway through the hike, you will come across the Crucero, a historic monument located approximately 5.58 kilometers from the starting point. Continuing on, you will pass by the Antigua iglesia (castillo) and Fortaleza, adding a touch of history to your adventure.
Along the way, there are several drinking water stations like La Fuente de Muro de Aguas and Fuente, so you can stay hydrated throughout your journey. Additionally, there are multiple benches scattered along the trail for you to take breaks and admire the scenery.
The route also includes viewpoints such as Mirador del Regadío de Muro de Aguas, where you can pause to take in the panoramic views. Just be sure to check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging hike and bring enough water and snacks to keep you energized.
