This challenging hiking route will take you to the scenic Punta del Cavallo area. The trail covers a distance of 6.601 kilometers with an elevation gain of 748 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 3 hours and 23 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will pass by various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find amenities such as parking areas and campsites, including Camping Montano Acti Lago and Campeggio Libac. Be sure to bring enough water and check the weather forecast before heading out!
Midway through the hike, you will come across a picturesque picnic site where you can take a break and enjoy the stunning surroundings. Continuing on, you will reach the peak of Punta del Cavallo, offering breathtaking views of the area. Nearby, you will also find the Colletto della Battagliola saddle.
After taking in the panoramic views, you can stop by Bar Monviso, La Buca di Bacco pub, or Ristorante Pizzeria Quetzal for some sustenance. There are also drinking water stations along the trail for your convenience.
