This hiking route takes you through the breathtaking Aitxuri region, offering stunning views and challenging terrain. The 7.319 km circular route has an elevation gain of 735 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike. It is estimated to take around 3 hours and 31 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across "Aldaola," a parking area located right at the beginning of the trail. About 0.5 km into the hike, you will find "San Adriango mendi-aterpea," an alpine hut where you can take a rest and enjoy the serene surroundings.
Further along the trail, at around 3.13 km from the start, you will reach "Aizkorriko Aterpea," a wilderness hut providing shelter for hikers. As you continue, you will pass by several informative points such as "Estación megalítica de Aizkorri Estazio Megalitikoa" and "Senda del pastoreo / Artzantza senda," enriching your hike with historical and cultural insights.
At about 0.54 km into the trail, you will find "Baratzondoko iturria," a drinking water source to refill your bottles and stay hydrated. Throughout the hike, you will also encounter peaks like "Aitxuri," "Aiztontor Altuna," and "Tontorraundi," offering panoramic views of the surrounding natural beauty.
