This hiking route is a super easy circular trail in the scenic area around Cascade de Holle. The trail covers a distance of 1.501 kilometers with an elevation gain of 38 meters, taking approximately 26 minutes to complete.
As you start your hike, you'll pass by the Point d'Information touristique de Gavarnie, which is located 0.12 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to gather information about the area before embarking on your adventure.
About halfway through the hike, you'll find parking areas where you can leave your vehicle. Some of these parking spots may require a fee for usage.
At around 0.64 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across the monument called Notre-Dame des Neiges, located just off the trail. This historical site offers a glimpse into the local culture and heritage.
One of the highlights of this hike is the beautiful Cascade de Holle waterfall, which is situated at a distance of 0.66 kilometers from the start of the trail. This majestic waterfall is a perfect spot to take a break, relax, and enjoy the natural surroundings.
Additionally, there are picnic sites along the trail where you can stop and have a meal while taking in the picturesque views.
