This challenging hiking route will take you to the beautiful Lac d'Antarrouyes in the stunning countryside. The trail is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of 8.286 kilometers with an elevation gain of 553 meters, so make sure you are prepared for a steep climb.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey towards the Lac d'Antarrouyes. Along the way, you will pass by the Cascade de Soutarra, a picturesque waterfall located approximately 1.99 kilometers from the start of the trail. Take in the sights and sounds of the cascading water as you continue your ascent.
As you trek further, you will come across the Lac de Cestrède, a tranquil lake situated around 3.43 kilometers into the hike. Although it is not directly on the trail, it is worth a slight detour to admire the serene surroundings.
Finally, after approximately 4.14 kilometers of hiking, you will reach your ultimate destination, the stunning Lac d'Antarrouyes. Take some time to relax by the water, enjoy a picnic, and soak in the breathtaking views before making your way back along the same trail.
