This hiking route will take you to the beautiful area around Großer Gundkopf. The trail is 11.759 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 1132 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take around 5 hours and 33 minutes to complete.

As you begin your hike, you will pass by a parking area just 0.01 kilometers from the start. Along the way, you will encounter various points of interest such as the Berggasthof Gaisalpe restaurant at 1.39 kilometers into the hike. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy some food before continuing on your journey.

Further along the trail at 3.52 kilometers, you will come across the beautiful Lower Gaisalpsee lake, a perfect place to relax and take in the stunning scenery. As you continue, you will also pass by the ruins of an old historic site at 4.12 kilometers.

Midway through the hike at 5.45 kilometers, you will reach Geißfußsattel, a natural saddle point with breathtaking views of the surrounding area. From here, you can continue on to explore more points of interest like waterfalls and peaks.

Towards the end of the hike, at 5.88 kilometers, you will reach the summit of Großer Gundkopf, offering panoramic views as a rewarding end to your journey. As this is an out-and-back route, you will retrace your steps back to the starting point.
