Welcome to the Gaisalpsteig hiking route! This trail is located in a picturesque area surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. The trail is an out-and-back route, so you will be retracing your steps to return to the starting point.

- At the beginning of the trail, there is a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before starting the hike.
- After around 1.39 kilometers, you will find the Berggasthof Gaisalpe restaurant, offering a place to rest and refresh yourself.
- Midway through the hike, at around 3.56 kilometers, you will encounter the ruins of an historic site.
- Closer to the end of the trail, at 3.56 kilometers, you will find a memorial dedicated to Alois Schmid.
