Hiking : Punta su Crabargiu

This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route to Punta su Crabargiu spans a distance of 20.191 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1055 meters, taking approximately 7 hours and 18 minutes to complete.

The trail starts at Teletottes parking area and leads hikers through a challenging terrain with various points of interest along the way. About 5.58 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a shelter where you can take a rest. Further ahead, at around 5.71 kilometers from the starting point, there is a drinking water facility for hikers to refill their bottles.

As you continue along the trail, at the 8.8-kilometer mark, you will find another shelter called Sa Portiscra, followed by Coile Su Monte Istagiau shelter at the 9.94-kilometer mark, and Coile shelter at 9.2 kilometers.

Midway through the hike, at 10.1 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Punta su Crabargiu, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area.

On the way back, you will pass by archaeological site Villaggio Nuragico Or Murales at 9.1 kilometers from the starting point. Additionally, there are peaks such as Punta Salavarrò (7.27 kilometers) and Punta Scala Manna (7.78 kilometers) that you can admire from a distance.

It is advisable for hikers to come prepared with plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear. Given the length and difficulty of the trail, it is essential to check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure.
