This hiking route is an extremely difficult out-and-back trail that covers a distance of 20.191 kilometers and has an elevation gain of 1055 meters. The total duration of the hike is estimated to be around 7 hours and 18 minutes, so it is important to start early to make sure you have enough daylight.
The hike starts at a parking area called Teletottes, which is located at the beginning of the trail. As you make your way along the path, approximately 5.58 kilometers from the start, you will come across a shelter where you can take a break and rest if needed. Further along the trail, at around 5.71 kilometers from the start, there is a drinking water facility available, so make sure to refill your water bottles here.
Around the midway point of the trail, at approximately 9.1 kilometers from the start, you will find the archaeological site of Villaggio Nuragico Or Murales. This is a great opportunity to take in some history and explore the area before continuing on your hike.
As you proceed further along the trail, at around 8.8 kilometers from the start, you will reach another shelter called Sa Portiscra, where you can take another break if necessary. There are also additional shelters named Coile Su Monte Istagiau and Coile located at 9.94 and 9.2 kilometers from the start, respectively.
Towards the end of the trail, at approximately 10.1 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Punta su Crabargiu, which offers stunning panoramic views and a rewarding conclusion to your hike. On the way back, you can also explore the peaks of Punta Salavarrò and Punta Scala Manna, located at 7.27 and 7.78 kilometers from the start, respectively.
