This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route takes you to the stunning Rifugio Livio Bianco in the AsF 5-8.4 region. The trail covers a distance of approximately 20.133 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1083 meters.
Starting off from the trailhead, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the hike, you will find a restaurant just 0.64 kilometers from the start, where you can grab a bite to eat before embarking on your journey. Further along the trail, about 2.22 kilometers in, there is a drinking water station to refill your water bottles.
As you continue on, you will pass by historic ruins about 7.79 kilometers into the hike, adding a touch of history to your adventure. Approximately midway through the trail, at 10.07 kilometers in, you will find a natural water source for a refreshing break.
It's important to note that the hike includes challenging terrain and a significant elevation gain, so be prepared with proper hiking gear and plenty of water. Checking the weather forecast before setting out is also recommended.
Finally, after an arduous ascent, you will reach the Rifugio Livio Bianco at 9.5 kilometers from the start. This alpine hut offers a cozy place to rest and enjoy the breathtaking mountain views before heading back on the same trail to complete your out-and-back journey.
