This extremely difficult 13.29-kilometer out-and-back hiking route leads to the stunning Rifugio Emilio Questa in Italy.

The trail starts at a parking area and heads out with a challenging elevation gain of 862 meters. Hikers will pass by several points of interest along the way.

Approximately 4.39 kilometers from the start, you will come across the beautiful Lac Tavels, a perfect spot to take in the serene surroundings. Further along, at around 5.61 kilometers from the start, you will reach Pas des Portettes, also known as Passo delle Portette, offering breathtaking views of the area.

At the 6.31-kilometer mark, there is a peak to explore, offering a panoramic view of the surroundings. Finally, at the 6.65-kilometer point, you will arrive at Rifugio Emilio Questa, where you can rest and take in the majestic alpine landscape.

Along the trail, you will also come across Col Mercière, a historic saddle at 2.39 kilometers from the start, and ruins at 5.69 kilometers from the start.
