This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Lago Carrel. The 15.536-kilometer trail offers stunning views and a challenging hike with an elevation gain of 1450 meters, making it extremely difficult but rewarding for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find Lago di Chamolé, a picturesque lake located 2.99 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail at 4.73 kilometers, you will pass by Bacino Comboé and Comboé Shelter, where you can take a rest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Midway through the hike, at 7.77 kilometers, you will reach Lago Carrel, another beautiful lake surrounded by nature. Nearby, you will also find Chalet Peccoz, a wilderness hut offering accommodation for hikers.
Towards the end of the trail, you will encounter Colle Carrel and Col Replan, natural saddles that offer panoramic views of the surrounding area. Additionally, Punta Replan, a peak located 3.45 kilometers from the start, provides a challenging but worthwhile trek for those seeking adventure.
