This challenging hiking route will take you through the beautiful area surrounding Rocher de Mutzig. The trail spans a distance of approximately 8.97 kilometers and includes an elevation gain of 251 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
Starting from the parking area at the trailhead, you'll set out on a scenic out-and-back journey. Along the way, you'll encounter various points of interest that add to the allure of the hike.
About 2.41 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across the Refuge d'Altmatt, providing a convenient rest stop and shelter for hikers. Continuing onwards, at around 1.8 kilometers from the start, you'll find the peak of Grossmann, offering stunning views of the surroundings.
