This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Rocher de Mutzig. The trail is 8.969 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 251 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
As you start your journey, you will pass by the Refuge d'Altmatt, a shelter located 2.41 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Further along, at 1.8 kilometers from the start, you will find the peak called Grossmann, although it is not directly on the trail.
Continuing on, at 3.56 kilometers from the start, you will come across the Baraque des Juifs shelter and the Col du Narion saddle, both providing excellent resting spots along the way. As you approach the midway point of the trail, at 4.46 kilometers from the start, there is a viewpoint where you can take in the breathtaking scenery.
Near the end of the trail, at 4.48 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Rocher de Mutzig peak, offering stunning panoramic views. Finally, as you make your way back, be sure to visit the Source de la Hasel spring, located 2.45 kilometers from the start, for a refreshing break.
